Now make a 2.5 to 3 foot leader using the 60 lb test with a swivel at one end and a snap swivel at the other. Attach a lure to the snap swivel. The worm gear that the level wind guide travels on is often forgotten when lubing a reel. Trick is to turn it upside down and put 1-2 drips of lube before fishing. This way - reeling in/out lubes up the worm gear and pawl. The pawl is a very thin piece of metal that rides in the groove of the worm gear. As others stated - it often wears out..
